Project overview

This project involved redesigning the client’s factory floor layout to cut wasted motion and improve production flow. Our team mapped the existing layout and material flow, identified bottlenecks and inefficient travel paths, then redesigned the floor plan around a more logical sequence of operations. The new layout was implemented in stages to avoid halting production during the transition.

The redesign focused on workflow efficiency, space utilization, and worker safety. Since implementation, the client has seen shorter production cycles and a noticeably smoother flow of materials and people through the facility.

Goals of the project

The primary goals were to reduce wasted movement, improve material flow, and make better use of available floor space.

The problem

The client’s existing factory layout created unnecessary travel distances and bottlenecks, slowing production and making the space harder to work in safely.

The solutions

We redesigned the factory layout around a more logical production sequence, implemented in phases to avoid disrupting ongoing operations.
